The NBA doesn't care

About correct grammar, that is.

I think we all went through enough strife when it was revealed that the new slogan for this season as going to be "Where amazing happens." But we accepted it as just the marketers being dumb and prying us away from our beloved "I love this game."

However, yesterday, as the 2007-2008 NBA season was unveiled, so too was the new slogan for the NBA Cares program: Where caring happens.

May I be the first to say... What?!

What does that even mean? It doesn't make any sense. For a program in which one of the main goals is to improve reading skills among inner city children (via the Read to Achieve branch), they certainly don't seem to pay much attention to improving our sentence structure.
