Croquet: More than just a game

What started out as a friendly game of croquet between Hartland, ME 31-year-old Andrew Fox and his 16-year-old stepson quickly turned ugly when a disagreement about the rules led to Andrew's "losing" (i.e. being cheated out of) the game. Naturally livid that his ranking in the Trailer Park Croquet League (I'm not even kidding here) would tumble because of this, Fox hit his stepson in the head with the mallet, and locked himself in the bathroom of their trailer, at which point his wife ran out to call the police.

Soon afterwards, Fox decided that since his idiot stepson just denied him the chance at the league's grand prize, he had no other choice than to light the trailer on fire and collect on the insurance. After all, Fox was counting on that prize money for the month's income and was the favorite to win it all until his stepson upset him. Unfortunately, it turns out that the trailer was uninsured, so his efforts were for naught.

Upon realizing his error, Fox hid and started crying behind his smoldering trailer, where he was found by the police, who took him into custody and charged with arson, domestic assault and domestic violence terrorizing.
