Olympic action has officially kicked off as the first games of the Women's Soccer Preliminary Round were played this morning. Nothing special to see here except that perennial powerhouse Norway and USA faced off and the Scandanavians pulled out a 2-0 victory over Hope Solo, Heather Mitts, and a bunch of other girls that I have never heard of. I guess Christie Rampone has been the US Captain since the 2004 Olympics? Come on, where are Brandi Chastain, Mia Hamm, and Kristine Lilly when you need them.
